If I have a mytest.com and mytest.com.au domains registered with GoDaddy and have an existing website, say, https://myproducts.com with a valid certificate, how can I forward HTTPS requests from mytest.com and mytest.com.au?
Currently, domain forwarding only works for the following:
However the following does not work:
Error is website cannot be reached or can't be found.

Hi @vladguan, thanks for posting.
To access a domain in anyway using HTTPS, you must have an SSL for that domain. Even if you are only forwarding or redirecting the domain name.
If you have a strict requirement of needing to secure those domains that you are forwarding, you would need to set them up on a hosting plan (possibly the same plan as the domain they are redirecting to), and then request and setup an SSL for each domain you would like to access using HTTPS.
I have the same issue, and I do have SSL certs for my domain (cloudfront via AWS) but the redirect doesn't seem to be working for me.
Is there any further information you can provide?
I am also facing same issue.
As per your comments
"To access a domain in anyway using HTTPS, you must have an SSL for that domain".
Which domain require certificate "mytest.com"?
we also have the same problem. did anyone find a solution to this issue?
- Both Domains are with GoDaddy
- Both Websites are hosted on GoDaddy
- Both websites have SSL certificates, but the certificates were not purchased in godaddy.
it only forwards http:/ xyz.com to https:newdomain.com
but it does not forward https:/xyz.com to https:newdomain.com
Hello everyone. To clarify, this thread was initially about forwarding domains using our domain forwarding service and using the HTTPS protocol. Our domain forwarding service does not support HTTPS requests at this time. If you use the forwarding service, it updates the IP address that the domain points to, so even if you had/have the domain hosted using an SSL certificate with HTTPS, the forwarding service will not recognize the certificate as it is not installed on the server that the forwarding service uses. If you need to redirect https://domain1.com to any other URL, you would need to host that domain on a server that has an SSL Certificate installed on it for domain1.com and then use a redirect on the server as @GaryA mentioned. If you already have that setup in place but it's not working, I'd suggest posting more information about your situation as a new topic on a board dedicated to the type of hosting that you have. The free domain forwarding service only works for HTTP requests at this time. Hope that helps.
