Transferring Domain

Hello I run a small business and recently changed MSP's. The old IT company is trying to transfer my domain to our new GoDaddy account, but states that it can't go through and receives the error "The customer # did not match with owner's email address." The old IT company suggested I reach out to GoDaddy support. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to get this resolved quickly, thank you.

Hi @CorePTKC,

Welcome to the Community!

Were you able to complete the Change of Account for the domain? Your description indicated that the domain is in another GoDaddy account and you were trying to have them move it to your own. All they need to have to make the move is your email address (customer number is optional). You can share and use the instructions here.

We are end users like you - if you are logged into GoDaddy click on your name in the top right corner and you should be able to get your customer number.
