unable to connect filezilla ftp as root user

We have a vps. I am trying to connect ftp as a root user. But when we use root as a username we get authotantication error (doesnt accept the password of server). I am able to connect with our other USERNAME but with this USERNAME It does not allow us to go root folder and gives "Error: Directory /home: permission denied"

is there any way to find root password or giving root access to USERNAME?

Re: unable to connect filezilla ftp as root user

    Hi, @fabgeek,

For security reasons, the root access has disabled by default. In case, If required, Enable root access through your VPS dashboard.

It's better to leave root access disabled and create a wheel group user to execute all necessary commands under that user. To learn more about how to develop and authorize wheel group users.

    Kindly, Follow the link below.

Note: Don't ever enable root access without proper knowledge.
