Approve my registrant contact updates

If your Domain Privacy is turned off and you changed the domain registrant organization, first or last name, or email address, you'll need to approve those updates. When Domain Privacy is turned on, changes made to your domain contact info don't need to be approved.

Select the tab that matches which contact field you updated.

When you change the registrant Email Address, we send the approval to the current registrant email address listed on the domain. We'll also send the approval to the account email address if the two emails are different. After you approve the update from the current registrant email address, we'll send a final approval email to the updated email address.

  1. Locate and open the approval email we sent with the subject line Review and approve the domain registrant update.
  2. Select Review and Approve the Update and a new browser tab will open.
  3. Review the contact info updates to verify everything is correct.
  4. Choose your 60-Day Domain Transfer Lock settings:
  5. Select Yes, Update Contact Information.
  6. A second approval email will now be sent to the new registrant email address with the subject line Approval needed: You're gaining one or more domains.
  7. Select Review and Approve the Update and a new browser tab will open.
  8. Review the contact info updates to verify everything is correct.
  9. Select Save.

The new contact info may take up to 90 minutes to show in your account and WHOIS.

When you change the registrant Organization, First Name, or Last Name, we send the approval to the current registrant email address listed on the domain. We'll also send the approval to the account email address if the two emails are different. This way, if you can't access the email address on your domain, you can still approve your changes.

The new contact info may take up to 90 minutes to show in your account and WHOIS.
