What is a WAF CDN?

The Web Application Firewall (WAF) includes a Content Delivery Network (CDN) by default because it runs on a high-performance Anycast network with Points of Presence (PoP) around the globe. A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a distributed network of servers that deliver web content to users based on their geographical location. There is no additional configuration required to enable the CDN other than activating the firewall.

When a CDN is in place, most of your website (depending on cache settings) will be transferred directly from a PoP on the CDN with the least amount of latency. This results in decreasing the page load time as well as the server's resource usage.

The CDN would allow a user from Europe to access a server hosted in the United States as quickly as if they were visiting from the United States because they'd be routed through the fastest or closest PoP to them.
